The McDowell Foundation was built by neighbors for neighbors. Our team is made up entirely of community members who believe deeply in the power of education and local investment to change children's lives in Pasco County, Florida.
A lifelong Pasco County resident and passionate community advocate, Dan founded The McDowell Foundation with a simple belief — every child deserves to start the school year with confidence and the supplies to succeed.
Our dedicated operations team handles everything from vendor coordination and supply logistics to volunteer management and event-day execution — making the Back to School Bash run like clockwork year after year.

Provides strategic direction and organizational leadership for the Foundation's mission and long-term growth in the Pasco County community.
Maintains records, coordinates Board communications, and ensures transparency and compliance with our 501(c)(3) obligations.
Oversees financial accountability, budget planning, and ensures every dollar donated goes toward maximum community impact.
